Richard sits on the Strategic Board. He leads the strategic direction of the practice's expertise and portfolio, working closely with sector head Directors to strengthen the company’s market position. He has developed specialist service units, including the Design Delivery Unit, the practice’s executive architecture brand, and the Digital Twin Unit. He has board responsibility for business development, marketing and communications within the practice.

Richard is based in the London head office where he Chairs the practice’s Global Development Team. He also has board responsibility for the practice’s New York office and USA expansion plans. He has the strong belief that sharing expertise and talent globally will create a more sustainable practice.

As an architect, Richard has a wealth of experience in the design and implementation of high-density residential and mixed-use schemes. He strives to create simple, refined solutions to complex urban problems through collaborative design. He has worked on a number of high profile, award-winning schemes including Vista Chelsea Bridge and Chelsea Bridge Wharf in Battersea, 3 Down Street Mews in Knightsbridge, Eden Gove, Staines, Cambium (shortlisted for RESI Development of the Year, and a Sunday Times British Home Award) and Bodleian Storage Facility for Oxford University.

Richard has judged the RESI Awards and lectures regularly on the future of digital twins at The Bartlett, UCL.
