The Island Masterplan
The Island masterplan introduces a new private school with boarding houses, residential neighbourhoods and a research and development hub to a 33-hectare site in Palodia Village 6km north of Limassol on the main road to the Troodos mountains.
The plans include 30m level change with easily navigable, step-free routes throughout and a ‘village square’ at the heart of the masterplan. Conceived as a ‘village within the wider village’, architecture flows down the hillside, embracing and directly connecting to a series of outdoor courtyards along the way.
Bio-diverse roofs are included, and natural materials are incorporated to insulate, shade and ground buildings, while creating a sense of place.
