The Brief

Conceived as part of the wider mixed-use Paddington Square development, the brief for the new Bakerloo line entrance and ticket hall was to enhance capacity, optimise passenger flow, and transform passenger experience by creating a more intuitive and accessible passenger journey and providing lifts down to platform level and tunnels.

Concept

Works include the complete reconfiguration of the underground space, expansion of the Bakerloo line ticket hall, and improved back of house facilities for TfL staff. Creating a safe and modernised station environment for both Bakerloo line passengers and station staff, whilst retaining the character of the original London Underground station.
