The Island Private School of Limassol, Cyprus has been shortlisted in the World Architecture Festival (WAF) awards in the Future Project: Education category.

This 60,000 sq m education hub is central to a new 30 hectare neighbourhood that cascades down the slopes of Palodia in Limassol, Cyprus. The new Education Hub will provide a nature-led learning environment for over 2000 pre-primary, primary and secondary school students, boarding accommodation, and associated sports and cultural facilities to serve both the school and wider community.

This is the second project to be shortlisted in the awards, which is the world’s largest festival and live awards competition dedicated to celebrating and sharing architectural excellence from across the globe.

"The Island Private School provided an inspiring brief for a learning environment that nurtured global citizens with real connections to the natural world- the design responds to the diverse needs of the school community, and its stunning hillside site, to create a unique education hub at the heart of a new neighbourhood"

The winners will be announced at the awards ceremony which will take place in Marina Bay Sands, Singapore from 6-8 November.
