Our scheme for Stoneywood Primary School in Aberdeen has been shortlisted for Inspiring Learning Spaces and Innovation in Delivering Value at the Education Buildings Scotland Awards. The Awards celebrate excellence and achievement in education.

Stoneywood, which completed in mid-2018, is a large Cross Laminated Timber (CLT) school in Scotland. It has offered the client, Aberdeen City Council, a pavilion model for teaching spaces that has been positively reviewed by the Council Learning Team and has now been adopted as a best practice model for adoption in future schools.

The innovation of Stoneywood School has also been recognised by the Education Estates Awards, for which it is shortlisted in three categories, and the Structural Timber Awards where it is also shortlisted.

Winners of the Education Buildings Scotland Awards will be revealed at the awards dinner on Wednesday 27 November 2019 in Edinburgh.
