Scott Brownrigg will be attending this year’s Passenger Terminal EXPO & CONFERENCE and will be part of the British Aviation Group (BAG) exhibitor stand.

The event has been established as the most highly regarded airport conference in the world, attracting 1,350+ senior airport, airline, aviation authority, government and related international business executives. Scott Brownrigg’s aviation team shall join the 5,000+ attendees from 90 countries to debate current issues, exchange ideas for the future development of the world’s airports and look to form business relationships on a global scale.

Director Maurice Rosario who heads up Scott Brownrigg’s Aviation team will be attending the event. Specialising in the airport sector, Maurice has been responsible for several complex airport projects across the world, from inception to completion and was the Project Lead for Istanbul’s New Airport which in 2016 won the Future Projects Infrastructure Award at the World Architecture Festival (WAF).

Scott Brownrigg is the lead designer for Istanbul New Airport which, when complete, will be the largest single terminal in the world with an initial capacity of 90 million passengers per year. Phase 1 includes the terminal, interior design, wayfinding, three runways and substantial aviation related development. Further phases envisage additional runways, terminals and satellite piers and will increase the airport capacity to 180 million passengers.

Scott Brownrigg’s approach

The Scott Brownrigg aviation teams approach to terminal design recognises the complexity, both functionally and technically associated with this type of scheme, and that they can only succeed if the needs and expectations of the operators, airlines and passengers are all reconciled in a manner that is attractive, efficient and adaptable. Airport projects in particular demand that design team members adopt a positive attitude to teamwork and to working with evolving strategies. These must take into account a broad range of issues including physical, social and commercial aspects and must be informed by thorough research and an understanding of established and emerging demands.

Recognised as one of the leaders in aviation design and delivery, Scott Brownrigg has a long, extensive history of airport projects across the globe and winning several awards. A collection of airport schemes by Scott Brownrigg include: Heathrow, Gatwick - UK, JF Kennedy- US, Medina Airport - Saudi Arabia, Vnukovo Airport – Moscow and Chek Lap Kok Airport - Hong Kong.
