Congratulations to Scott Brownrigg Architect, Helena Hornero Luque who has been shortlisted for the Future Leader category in the inaugural G4C Wales Awards.

G4C (Generation for Change) is a driving force for industry change, through the development and connection of future industry leaders. It is passionate about focusing on young people and showcasing and celebrating upcoming talent and achievements in the industry, as well as on the organisations that support and shape the future leaders of the industry. The G4C Wales Awards provide an exciting opportunity for Wales to celebrate outstanding examples of excellence and best practice within the sector and region.

The awards, across seven categories, are open to a person with less than ten years of experience in the construction and built environment sector (typically less than 35 years of age). The Future Leader category recognises those individuals who best demonstrate a positive impact on their peers, their organisation and the wider industry, against current G4C priority areas of people development, sustainability and innovation.

Having joined Scott Brownrigg’s Cardiff studio in 2016, Helena has developed her role within the practice enthusiastically and passionately, taking the lead on contractor-led schools projects as well as the high profile project - The Museum of Military Medicine (MMM) in Cardiff Bay. The client for the project personally recognised the contribution made by Helena as being a key factor in the project’s success.

Helena has shown a natural ability to lead, influence and collaborate with project teams and lead discussion with the local planning authorities.

Associate Samuel Utting who nominated Helena for the award said: “We are really delighted that Helena has been shortlisted for this award, it very much reflects her commitment and approach - congratulations”.

The winner will be announced at an award ceremony at the Senedd, Cardiff on 12th July 2018.
