Situated directly opposite the Grade II Listed Battersea Park, the scheme proposes to demolish the existing Marco Polo Building and replace it with two buildings, providing approximately 456 residential units and 1,300 sq m (14,000 sq ft) commercial space. The buildings are arranged on the site to open the development to the park, whilst protecting two large green communal courtyards from the railway. A public pedestrian route through the site links it to its’ surroundings. Designed to Code for Sustainable Homes Level 4, the scheme meets the Mayor’s London Housing Design Guidance, and provides a mix of residential, 25% are three bedroom apartments and many are dual aspect.
