This scheme, won via a design competition, is for the Prague offices of PENTA, one of Central Europe’s largest and most influential Private Equity and Property companies. PENTA is moving their offices to one of their own new developments - Florentinum, a 70,000 sq m (753,000 sq ft) office and retail project in the heart of Prague. The design incorporates local Czech Art and materials. The Czech Republic is well known for its centuries old glass industry and the design includes Czech glass art, handmade glass, special lighting fixtures, and flowing water pattern glass partitions. Walnut ribs are wrapped around the reception walls, ceiling and floor, and in the staff lounge to give a warm and intimate feel to these areas. With a mainly open plan workspace , there are also executive offices on the top 9th floor, where the walnut finishes carry through. The 8th and 9th floors are connected by a feature staircase, with a handmade suspended glass chandelier to create a special client journey to the top floor.
