Helium Miracle/Greenbank Partnerships

The dual pad Ice Arena forms part of the Cardiff International Sports Village which is being designed by Scott Brownrigg. The primary rink measures 60x30 metres and is contained within a 3,000 seat arena. As the home of the Cardiff Devils Ice Hockey Team, it is designed to Olympic standards and is capable of hosting international events in hockey and figure skating, along with new sports to Wales such as speed skating and curling. The second rink measures 54x27 metres and is designed to National Hockey League standards. It hosts club games, training and leisure events and is capable of accommodating 1,000 spectators. The Ice Arena also boasts facilities such as a gym and a fitness and flexibility studio that will enable the development to support national and international ice sports squads, with the potential to become part of a Winter Sports Centre of Excellence for Wales. The extended community is also catered for with a Cardiff Devils shop, cafés, bars and viewing galleries that overlook both rinks.
