Scott Brownrigg sponsors The Bartlett Summer Show 2014

01.07.14

Scott Brownrigg is one of the sponsors of The Bartlett Summer Show 2014.  The annual event celebrates the work of students from The Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL.

One of the world’s biggest architecture degree shows sees over 500 students present an incredible range of inventive, creative and visual work, from models and drawings to films, multimedia installations and computer fabrications.

In addition the practices' Design Research Unit (DRU) is sponsoring the Unit 12 show, to reinforce its commitment to supporting the industry and the next generation of architect through collaboration.  The unit is  the longest running unit at the Bartlett. Taught by Jonathan Hill, Matthew Butcher and Elizabeth Dow, the group has produced some stunning work this year. Under the heading of “The Shock of the Old and the Shock of the New” the unit has designed an array of proposals for a new model city located in Bedfordshire. These range from a democratic city organised around the seasonal activity of brick making, a knitted fabric cathedral, and an institute for cultivated wilderness.

This year's special guest show opener is renowned architect and founding member of the Archigram group, Michael Webb.  View website.
