Scott Brownrigg announces strategic partnership with Hong Kong-based One Space
International design practice Scott Brownrigg announces that it has formed a strategic partnership with Hong Kong based practice One Space to deliver intelligently integrated architecture and interior design solutions across Hong Kong, Singapore and the wider Asia Pacific Region.
The strategic move reinforces each practice’s commitment to serving their growing and widening global client base and will provide both with the opportunity to expand into new markets throughout the region.
The award-winning practices share complementary skills and this strategic partnership will strengthen their respective architecture, interior design and technology specialisms. In addition it will enable Scott Brownrigg, which already has a design studio in Singapore, to broaden its footprint in Asia Pacific and strengthen the practice’s corporate interiors and retail design capabilities in this growing market.
Both practices have strong reputations for creating innovative designs and delivering award-winning work. One Space, which currently employs over 20 staff, has built a solid reputation in the region for its portfolio of groundbreaking retail, education, workplace and collaboration concepts for its multinational and regional clients; whilst Scott Brownrigg is recognized within the top 100 global architects and has a strong reputation for providing award-winning designed buildings, infrastructure, masterplanning and interior design solutions across all major sectors. The practice was responsible for the Hong Kong Mass Transit Railway system in the 1970s and for work at Chek Lap Kok Airport.
One Space’s Co-Founder and Managing Director Greg Pearce, a UK- and Hong Kong-qualified Architect, has 30 years professional experience leading the design of prestigious projects in the USA, Europe and Asia. He helped establish the Hong Kong office of Arup Associates in 1992, co-leading the Hong Kong Station design team from Conception to Completion. Pearce also co-founded and directed Hong Kong University’s MIDM Programme, Asia’s first master’s degree in interdisciplinary collaboration – developing first-hand experience in the operational needs of education space and learning environments. In 2009 he was recognised with an “Outstanding Individual in Industry Award” for his Transformational Project Leadership at the iconic HSBC Main Building, 1 Queen’s Road Central, Hong Kong.
