Phase 3 Centenary Quay receives full planning consent
Phase 3 of the Centenary Quay, Woolston masterplan developed by Scott Brownrigg, has been granted full planning consent. The unanimous decision by the planning committee was received on 24 July and forms a critical milestone in the delivery of masterplan.
The latest phase is due to go onsite in Spring 2013, and will deliver a truly mixed use development and the establishment of a new vibrant community, with a new food store, 329 new homes including 1, 2 and 3 bed apartments plus 72 affordable homes, double basement car parking for residents, community facilities, public car parking and public access to the waterfront along the River Itchen.
Two public squares at the heart of the scheme will deliver high quality public realm and are designed to provide flexibility for local events; with a stepped landscape terrace they also provide private areas for relaxation overlooking the waterfront.
