Led by senior architects with specialisms in CDM-Coordination, Fire Engineering and Inclusive Design, together with skills in the interpretation of other construction standards and legislation, the team provides proportionate, practical and creative solutions to technical challenges on all projects.
The need to minimise the bureaucratic response to technical issues, whilst providing succinct but comprehensive information to the client, team and future users and legislative bodies is at the heart of the process. Empathy with the client and design team objectives allows the creativity of the design intent to be achieved with the lightest of legislative touches.
The team has a reputation for engaging with the construction industry at a number of levels. Working with, and being members of a number of industry-wide committees including: APS, BRE, BRAC, BSI, CIBSE, CIC, CWCT, DBP, DIOHAS, RIBA
The team has published CDM 2015 industry guidance in conjunction with RIBA Publishing: CDM 2015 - A Practical Guide for Architects and Designers available from RIBA Bookshops. The team has also worked with the CLG to reform Building Regulations; chaired the BSI and contributed to the new standard - BS8560 Design Incorporating Safe Work at Height.
