BA (Hons) DipArch RIBA
Stephen is based in the practice’s Cardiff office. Since graduating from the University of Portsmouth School of Architecture in 1995, Stephen has developed his architectural understanding and expertise through an exposure to a broad spectrum of project types, procured through both traditional and design and build routes, and using JCT and NEC contracts.
His experience ranges from small scale social residential schemes to multi-faceted and complex healthcare, mixed-use, education and commercial projects where engagement with stakeholders and community is vital. Part of his role is in driving forward the practice’s environmental and sustainability responsibilities, particularly important with the Welsh Assembly Government’s leading energy saving agenda and achieving higher levels of Code for Sustainable Homes ahead of the rest of the UK. His recent projects include the 2013 BREEAM Education Award Winning scheme - Coleg Cymunedol Y Dderwen Comprehensive School in Bridgend County, Wales, Cardiff Pointe residential scheme and the South Gwent Special Needs Children’s Centre.
