Stephen is a member of the practice's Management Group and is based in its Edinburgh office.  With significant experience across a number of sectors and complex projects,  Stephen has delivered schools, sport and leisure and healthcare projects in a number of procurement arenas, under PPP, Traditional, Management, DBFM and Partnering forms. Stephen is not only involved in the day-to-day management of the Edinburgh Office but  also provides strategic support in terms of project delivery and business development activity for the office.

As well as having an in-depth knowledge of ecological and sustainable design, he contributes to the architectural profession and represents the practice on a number of industry bodies. He is currently sitting Vice-President of the Glasgow Institute of Architects (GIA), Council member for the Royal Incorporation of Architects In Scotland (RIAS), panel member on the Glasgow Urban Design Panel (GUDP) and an active member of the Scottish Ecological Design Association (SEDA). Stephen is also one of the 25 accredited sustainable design architects in Scotland recognised by the RIAS, and is an Incorporated member of the Chartered Institute of Building (ICIOB). He is also a regular Stage 5 critic at the Glasgow School of Art.   Stephen won the Scottish Design award for Placemaking in 2007, and in practice has been a key design team member for a number of award-winning schemes in Scotland.
